How do you check streaming availability in your country?

Where should you check whether a service is available?

Start with the streaming provider’s official website and help centre for the country where you will watch. Check whether the service accepts new subscriptions there, then review the catalogue and supported devices. Do this before paying: a familiar brand name does not establish that the same service or content is available everywhere.

What should you check before watching while travelling?

Read your provider’s travel and household guidance before leaving. Check whether your plan, device and destination are supported, and whether downloaded programmes remain available at your destination. Keep your account recovery details accessible. If the provider says access is unavailable, use an officially supported local service instead of instructions intended to evade its restrictions.

Does a subscription guarantee the same catalogue abroad?

Check the provider’s current country-specific information rather than assuming your usual catalogue will follow you. Netflix, for example, explains that selection, audio, subtitles and download availability can vary when travelling. Other services have their own rules. Confirm the particular programme with the provider when it matters to your decision, before you subscribe or travel.
